U.S. Senate votes to advance Amy Coney Barrett; confirmation expected on Monday Senate Republicans voted overwhelmingly on Sunday to advance Supreme Court nominee Amy Coney Barrett toward final confirmation despite Democratic objections, just over a week before the presidential election. The vote was 51-48. 5. Lenders to debt-ridden DHFL to take call on bids The committee of creditors (CoC) of debt-ridden DHFL is scheduled to meet on Monday to take a call on four bids, including from Adani Group and Piramal Enterprises, received as part of resolution process for the beleaguered firm, sources said. 6. Women to block traffic nationwide in protest against near-total ban on abortion in Poland Activists across Poland plan to protest on Monday, blocking traffic in towns and cities to express their anger after a ruling by the Constitutional Tribunal introducing a nearly-total ban on abortions in the predominantly Catholic country. 7. Pujara, Hanuma, coaching staff to join others in UAE ahead of Australia tour With the Indian team support staff for company, Test specialists Cheteshwar Pujara and Hanuma Vihari are leaving for Dubai on Sunday to join rest of the squad members for the tour of Australia.
