First Quad Summit The meeting is expected to begin at 7 p.m. today. Modi to launch 'Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav' Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch 'Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav' from Gujarat on March 12 to commemorate 75 years of India's Independence, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has said. The PM will also flag off a 21-day long 'Dandi March' from Sabarmati Ashram. 3. Mega celebrations to begin at 16 ASI monuments The mega celebrations to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India's Independence will begin on March 12 with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) identifying 16 sites at which programmes will be held across the country. Events on Friday will mark the beginning of the celebrations which will go on every week for 75 weeks till August 15, 2022. 4. Brahma Kumaris' chief Dadi Hriday Mohini dies at 93 Her mortal remains will be brought to the organisation headquarters on Abu Road in Jaipur and people will be allowed to pay their respect to the 'Rajyogini' on Friday. Her last rites will be performed on March 13. 5. Nominations open for Assembly elections in T.N., Kerala, Puducherry Nominatins also open for the third phase of polls in West Bengal and Assam. 6. India vs. England, first T20 match in Ahmedabad England could get an idea of where they stand heading into this year's World Cup at the end of their limited overs engagements against formidable India, captain Eoin Morgan said on Thursday. 7.
