1. SC-appointed panel on farm laws to hold first meeting on Tuesday The Supreme Court-appointed committee on the three new farm laws is scheduled to hold its first meeting with members on Tuesday at Pusa campus here, its member Anil Ghanwat said.
2. Ahead of talks, Agriculture Minister Tomar appeals to farmer unions to call off tractor rally Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on Monday hoped that protesting farmer unions will discuss alternatives other than the repeal of the new farm laws in the tenth round of talks and appealed to them not to go ahead with their tractor rally on Republic Day in Delhi. The crucial tenth round of meeting with 41 farm unions is scheduled for Tuesday.
3. Farmers' protest: 10th round of talks postponed to Wednesday The tenth round of talks between the government and representatives of protesting farmers on controversial new farm laws was on Monday pushed back by a day to January 20, with the Centre saying both sides want to resolve the stalemate at the earliest but it was getting delayed due to involvement of people of other ideologies.
4. Maharashtra COVID-19 vaccination drive will resume on Tuesday: CM Amidst uncertainty over resumption of the suspended COVID-19 vaccination drive in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Monday said the exercise will begin on Tuesday at 285 centres.

AP CM to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Jan 19 Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy will visit New Delhi on Tuesday for a meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah, official sources said. Though the sources did not specify whether the Chief Minister has been summoned to give an explanation, the sudden visit assumes significance as it comes after the state BJP leaders lodged complaints with the Centre against the Jagan Mohan Reddy government over the recent desecration of idols in temples.

MoS MEA to pay 3-day visit to UAE; focus on welfare of Indian workers there Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan will be on a three-day visit to the UAE beginning Tuesday during which he will hold talks with the leadership of that country with a special focus on the welfare of Indian workers, the Ministry of External Affairs said on Monday.
