Trump vs. Biden: The final showdown
EDITOR'S NOTE
Hello,
The second and final debate between President Trump and Joe Biden didn't have as many interruptions as the first debate, but it was laden with attacks.
Both candidates got in their shots. While he was more restrained than last time – due in part to microphones being muted for two-minute stretches every segment – Trump stayed on the offensive. Biden fired back and pivoted often to direct appeals to Americans. Moderator Kristen Welker got the best reviews of the night for keeping things organized and clear.
It wasn't immediately clear whether the debate changed anybody's mind about Trump or Biden with just under two weeks left in the campaign. It's not even clear that people will still be talking about the debate hours from now, given how mercilessly the news cycles are moving in the final stages of the election. Read our take on the key moments here.
