A French Air Force aircraft will bring ventilators, test kits and other medical equipment to India on Tuesday as part of COVID-19 assistance by France, its embassy said. President Emmanuel Macron had recently announced the donation of medical equipment to India, as well as provision of technical expertise, according to a statement by the French embassy. 3. Telangana HC to take up state's handling of COVID-19 crisis Upset over non-implementation of its earlier orders on issues related to the pandemic in the state, the court on Monday directed senior officials, including the chief secretary, to appear before it on July 28. 4. As cases rise, MP cabinet to meet virtually on July 28 The Madhya Pradesh cabinet will meet virtually for the first time on Tuesday in view of the rising number of coronavirus cases. Members of cabinet will join the meeting via video conferencing at 11 am, an official said on Monday. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan last Saturday announced that he had tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to a hospital. 5. Goa: AAP to hold day-long fast in Azad Maidan to protest 'token assembly session' A day-long fast will be held tomorrow at Azad Maidan here by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) unit of the state to protest the 'token assembly session', Pradeep Padgaonkar, State Secretary of AAP in Goa said in a statement on Sunday."With no response from the government to its demand for a longer assembly session to discuss important issues affecting the people, the AAP has decided to have a 'people's assembly' session at Azad Maidan tomorrow," the statement said. 6. Mahindra Finance Rs 3,088.82 cr rights issue to open on Tuesday Non-banking financial company Mahindra Finance on Monday said its ₹3,088.82 crore rights issue will open for subscription on July 28. The company will issue 61.78 crore equity shares of face value of ₹2 each (equity shares) at a price of ₹50 per equity share aggregating to ₹3,088.82 crore on a rights basis, a company release said. 7. England vs. West Indies fifth day at Old Trafford Rain wiped out the fourth day's play at Old Trafford on Monday to frustrate England's bid for a series-clinching win over the West Indies and keep Stuart Broad waiting for his 500th Test wicket.England does, however, still have one day left to press for a victory that would see it take the three-match series 2-1.
