1. NASCAR stands with Bubba Wallace after a noose was found in his garage stall. Drivers pushed fellow racer's No. 43 car to the front of the grid and stood by him during the national anthem as an act of solidarity. Wallace, the sport's only Black driver, encouraged a ban of the Confederate flag from races.

2. This 90-year-old grandmother raised $521,000 for the NHS by climbing 282 flights of her own staircase. Margaret Payne climbed the equivalent of 2,398 feet, which she calculated would get her to the top of Scotland's iconic Suilven mountain.

3. This Tanzanian miner just became a millionaire after digging up gemstones worth $3.4 million. Saniniu Laizer plans to use the money to build a school and a mall in his community.

4. Latvia is honoring Covid-19 medical workers with a nearly 20-foot-tall statue in the nation's capital. "Medics to the World" stands in front of the National Museum of Arts in Riga as a sign of gratitude from the public.

5. This "hug tunnel" in Brazil allows residents to safely embrace their loved ones. The Geriatric Clinic Três Figueiras allowed elderly residents to hug relatives after more than 70 days apart due to the pandemic.

6. Disney is replacing Splash Mountain with a Princess and the Frog ride. Splash Mountain, based on the 1946 movie "Song of the South," has been called out for its racial stereotypes. The new ride will feature Tiana, Disney's first African-American princess, as she prepares for Mardi Gras.

7. A Pakistani court freed 33-year-old Kaavan, "the world's loneliest elephant." Conditions at an Islamabad zoo sparked a rights campaign led by Cher that forces officials to find the animal a new "suitable sanctuary."

8. After 104 days, the longest closure of the Eiffel Tower since World War II, the Paris landmark is open once again. Although the elevators can't be used, visitors can still access two of the three decks.

9. London's Mr. Fogg's may soon employ Victorian-dressed mannequins to enforce social distancing. It's part of the cocktail bar's attempt to maintain its "buzzy" vibe without leaving tables empty or removing furniture.

10. This Spanish reopens with an audience of plants following a nationwide lockdown. The Uceli Quartet performed for an audience made up of potted plants during a concert conceived by Spanish artist Eugenio Ampudia.
