2) Amid rising cases, 12-day lockdown for Chennai - followup Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami on Monday announced a 12-day complete lockdown in Chennai and certain parts of Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram and Tiruvallur districts between June 19 and 30. However, the government allowed essential services to function.
3) More flights from Mumbai airport from Tuesday Twenty two days after domestic flying resumed, the government on Monday permitted the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) to cater to a total of 100 domestic commercial passenger flight movements from June 16. In a statement, GVK-led Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) said that it had been permitted to cater to 50 departures and 50 arrivals.

7) Petrol and diesel prices highest since 2018 State-owned oil marketing companies (OMCs) have increased the price of petrol and diesel for the ninth consecutive day on Monday, making the price of sensitive petroleum products highest since October 2018, when crude oil prices were at record high.
8) China to launch last satellite of its BeiDou Navigation Satellite System on Tuesday China is set to launch on Tuesday the last satellite of the BeiDou Navigation Satellite System, touted to be a competitor to the United States Global Position System, to allow global users to access high-accuracy navigation, positioning, timing and communication services. The satellite will complete the construction of the global constellation, official media here reported on Monday.
9) Anand Vihar railway station to house isolation coaches The Indian Railways has decided to shift all the five train services from Anand Vihar railway station to old Delhi railway station to house the isolation ward coaches for the novel coronavirus (Covid—19) patients, officials said.
10) SC slams the brakes on sale and registration of BS-IV vehicles The Supreme Court on Monday slammed the brakes on the sale and registration of BS-IV vehicles and ordered the Centre to collect the details on how many of them were sold and registered after the lifting of the national lockdown.
11) India, China military commanders hold talks at Galwan area - followup The Pangong Tso Lake in Leh district of Ladakh. In continuation of the ground level dialogue to resolve the ongoing stand-off on the border, India and China on Monday held talks at the Brigade Commander and Commanding Officer (CO) level in the Galwan area of Eastern Ladakh, defence sources said.
