Amit Shah to visit Jabalpur today Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah will be on a one-day visit to Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh on Saturday where he will take part in various organisational programmes, the party said. 3. 12 more deaths in UP, 24 die in rain-related incidents since September 15 Twelve more people died in incidents of wall and house collapse in Uttar Pradesh taking the death toll due to heavy rain in recent days to 24, officials said on Friday. More showers are likely to lash few places in eastern and western Uttar Pradesh on Saturday and Sunday. 4. Taliban orders male students, teachers to school The Taliban's education ministry says all male students grades six to 12 and male teachers should resume classes starting Saturday. In the past, the hardliner group that took over Afghanistan last month had forbidden girls and women from attending school and work. 5. Ministry directs NRAI to initiate fresh election process Just a day before the NRAI elections in Mohali, the Sports Ministry has directed the shooting body to initiate the process afresh after presidential candidate Shyam Singh Yadav cited "perceptible conflict of interest" in the appointment of the Returning Officer for the polls. The NRAI will, however, go ahead with the elections on Saturday as the matter is pending before the Delhi High Court with the next date of hearing in December. 6. R.N. Ravi to be sworn in as T.N. Governor today Retired IPS officer Ravindra Narayan Ravi, who was formerly the Governor of Nagaland, is set to be sworn in as the Governor of Tamil Nadu. Madras High Court Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee will administer the oath of office at a ceremony in the Raj Bhavan. Morning Filter will return tomorrow.
