1. Modi to inaugurate international convention centre in Varanasi

 

As many as 108 Rudraksha have been installed at this convention centre and its roof is shaped like a Shiva Linga, officials said, adding that the entire building will glow with LED lights at night.

2. Kerala to test 3.75 lakh people in two days under Augmented Testing Strategy

1.25 lakh people would be tested today and 2.5 lakh on Friday and the analysis of the results would further help strengthen the fight against COVID-19.

3. School fees: Can't ignore acute financial pressure on parents due to COVID-19, Delhi govt to HC

A bench of Chief Justice D N Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh, after hearing arguments for hours, said it would continue hearing the submissions on Thursday.

Keeping in view the six-hour bandh call given by left parties and supported by Congress on July 15, Odisha government has asked all district collectors to ensure essential services are not affected.

7. Coronavirus in India | Numbers and developments 

The slow pace of COVID-19 vaccination by private centres in some States was a "cause of serious worry", and States have been directed to review the status and progress of vaccine procurement by these centres on a daily basis, according to a senior health official. The number of positive coronavirus cases in India recorded in the last 24 hours stands at 41,755, taking the tally in the country to 3,09,86,803 at the time of publishing this newsletter. The death toll from the disease stands at 4,12,019.
