1. PM Modi to chair Council of Ministers meeting 

The meeting will be held virtually on Wednesday evening, sources said. 

2. Supreme Court to take up plea to fix RT-PCR test rate at ₹300 

The Supreme Court is scheduled to take up on Wednesday a fresh plea seeking direction to the Centre and states to fix the maximum rate for the RT-PCR test at ₹300 uniformly all over India.

3. Why Centre's approval needed for door-to-door vaccination, High Court asks Maharashtra 

The Bombay High Court on Tuesday asked the Maharashtra government why it needs an approval from the Centre to start door-to-door vaccination programme against COVID-19 for senior citizens, specially-abled and bedridden persons in the State. The bench posted the matter for further hearing on Wednesday. 

4. Apollo hospitals to hold nationwide Covid vaccination drive on Wednesday 

Apollo Hospitals group in a statement said the drive will run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. across its 200 vaccination centres. 

5. No COVID vaccination at govt centres in Noida on June 30 

The decision to cancel all vaccinations, including Covishield and Covaxin, has been taken due to "unavoidable" reasons, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Deepak Ohri said.

6. J&K delimitation commission to meet to finalise plans on consultations with parties 

At a meeting with leaders of mainstream political parties from Jammu and Kashmir last week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had stressed that the delimitation exercise has to happen quickly so that polls can be held in the union territory. 

7. Balaji Srivastav given additional charge of Delhi police commissioner 

Senior IPS officer Balaji Srivastav will hold the additional charge of the Commissioner of Delhi Police when incumbent S N Shrivastava retires on Wednesday, the Home Ministry said.  

8. Wimbledon 2021 | Day 3 

Wimbledon returned on Monday after being called off in 2020 because of the pandemic, and so much felt rather familiar at the All England Club. Novak Djokovic is set to play his second round against Kevin Anderson in the Men's Singles. Aryna Sabalenka will play Katie Boulter in the Women's Singles. 

9. Coronavirus in India | Numbers and developments  

India administered 35.6 lakh doses of COVID-19 vaccines until 9 p.m. on June 29. The number of positive coronavirus cases in India recorded in the last 24 hours stands at 45,633, taking the tally in the country to at the time of 3,03,61,537 publishing this newsletter. The death toll from the disease stands at 3,98,465.
