Modi will be addressing two election rallies in Kerala on Friday — at Konni and Thiruvananthapuram. In T.N., he is scheduled to address public meetings in Madurai and Kanyakumari.

In the wake of rising COVID-19 cases in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will hold an "urgent" meeting with the health minister and officials of concerned departments to prepare an action plan to meet the challenge.

3. Squash challenger: Top-seed Mangaonkar enters men's final

Mahesh Mangaonkar edged compatriot Abhay Singh in a tight opening game before losing the next 8-11. He, however, stepped up his level of play to take the next two games 11-4 11-9 to book a spot in Friday's final against American Todd Harrity, the second seed.

4. 10th Anniversary of India's World Cup win

On this day (April 2, 2011), 10 years ago, India won the ODI World Cup after 28 years by Sri Lanka in the final at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
