Bidding for spectrum to continue on Tuesday, says Ravi Shankar Prasad India's first auction of spectrum in five years attracted ₹77,146 crore of bids on the opening day on Monday with Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea putting in bids. Over 2,250 MHz of spectrum, that carry telecom signals, in seven bands worth nearly ₹4 lakh crore at reserve or start price, was offered for bidding in the auction that began on Monday. While the bidding would continue on Tuesday, it is likely to conclude after another two rounds. 2. Farm, trade unions to join hands against farm laws, labour codes Farm unions under the Samyukt Kisan Morcha banner and 10 Central trade unions have agreed to carry out a joint campaign, combining their demands and planning common actions. The decision was taken at a meeting of representatives from both sides on Monday evening, but will need to be ratified by the wider SKM at its general body meeting on Tuesday. 3. Gujarat local bodies polls: Counting of votes today Counting of votes for polls to 81 municipalities, 31 district panchayat and 231 taluka panchayat will be held on Tuesday.
