Dilli Chalo | Haryana khaps decide to join protest Farmer groups have rejected the Centre’s conditional invitation for talks, and refused to shift to the designated protest grounds in Burari, calling it an “open jail”. Many Haryana khaps have decided to join the protest. Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar held deliberations over the protests with BJP president J.P. Nadda late on Sunday evening. 2. The ‘penumbral lunar eclipse’ will begin at 12:59:09 p.m. and continue till 05:25:09 p.m. 6. ‘World’s loneliest elephant’ Kaavan starts trip to Cambodia Kaavan is set to leave aboard a Russian cargo plane for the 25,000-acre sanctuary early Monday morning. Kaavan — an overweight, 36-year-old bull elephant — whose pitiful treatment at the dilapidated Islamabad Zoo sparked an uproar from animal rights groups and a spirited social media campaign by American pop star Cher. 7. Guru Nanak Dev's 551st birth anniversary The first guru of Sikhs was born in 1469 in Nankana Sahib, now in Pakistan. In a tweet, PM Modi said, “I bow to Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji on his Parkash Purab. May his thoughts keep motivating us to serve society and ensure a better planet.” 8. J&K Bank’s star trio to join Real Kashmir FC in I-League in Kolkata Real Kashmir Football Club is the first Srinagar-based club to compete in any first division football league in the country. The officials said the club is likely to leave for Kolkata on Monday and will start its season by playing the IFA Shield tournament followed by I-League 2020-21. 9. ISL | Goa eye season’s first win against NorthEast United A revamped FC Goa will be aiming to get their first win of the season when they take on an equally strong NorthEast United FC in an ISL game in Margao today. 9. Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments The number of positive coronavirus cases reported from India now stands at 94,30,707 at the time of publishing this newsletter.
