1. Nadda to address four rallies, NDA meeting in Bihar on Oct 20, 21 BJP president J P Nadda will address four public rallies in poll-bound Bihar on Tuesday and Wednesday and also speak at a meeting of leaders of the ruling National Democratic Alliance during a two-day visit to the State. Nadda will address election rallies in Buxar and Arrah on Tuesday afternoon, party spokesperson Sanjay Mayukh said.
2. Trial run of Hydrogen-blended CNG buses to begin in Delhi A commercial pilot run will take place with 50 buses that will run on H-CNG, a ‘futuristic’ fuel amid rising air pollution in the capital. The trial is being undertaken under a directive of the Supreme Court, which took cognisance of a cost-effective home-grown technology developed by Indian Oil.
3. UN hopes meeting will raise $1 billion for key Sahel nations The U.N. humanitarian chief is hoping a major ministerial meeting Tuesday will not only raise $1 billion for the three countries at the epicenter of a humanitarian crisis in Africa's Sahel region but also spur leaders to address the underlying causes, including increasing conflict and insecurity, weak governance and a lack of development.
4. Hathras case: Mathura SDM orders Kerala journalist, three others to furnish peace bond Accused Siddique Kappan, Atiqur Rahman, Alam and Masood, having links with the alleged radical group Popular Front of India and its affiliates and booked under sections 151/107/116 of CrPC have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days by SDM, Mant, said an official release. The accused, lodged in Mathura jail, appeared before the SDM through video conferencing. The 14-day judicial custody of the four in the sedition and terror case ends on Tuesday when they are slated to be produced before the judicial magistrate for its further extension.
5. Maharashtra rain fury: CM to visit Osmanabad on Tuesday Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray will tour rain-affected areas of Osmanabad on Tuesday, an official said. Heavy rains and floods have claimed at least 48 lives in Maharashtra's Pune division, of which Solapur is a part, Aurangabad division, which includes Osmanabad, and Konkan division over the past few days.

US presidential elections | Candidates woo voters in key States as election day looms With just over a fortnight to go until Election Day, U.S. President Donald Trump and his opponent Democratic nominee Joe Biden continued to woo voters in ‘battleground states’. However, the commonalities mostly stopped there – the two candidates delivered sharply contrasting messages on the impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the U.S. economy and questions of policing and racial justice.
7. Haj 2021 will depend on national, international COVID-19 protocols: Naqvi - follow up A decision on Haj 2021 will be taken after the Saudi Arabian government’s final call on the pilgrimage and the national as well as international coronavirus (COVID-19) guidelines will have to be kept in mind to ensure the well-being of the pilgrims, Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said on Monday.

Gadkari to lay foundation stone for ₹694 crore multi-modal logistics park in Assam Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will on Tuesday lay the foundation stone for India's first multi-modal logistics park in Assam to be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹694 crore, an official statement said. The multi-modal logistic park will be developed under the ambitious Bharatmala Pariyojna. "Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Shri Nitin Gadkari will virtually lay the foundation stone for the first-ever multi-modal logistic park in Assam tomorrow," the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways said in the statement on Monday. 9. Coronavirus: In lowest surge in months, Maharashtra reports less than 6,000 cases In its lowest surge in over two-and-a-half months, Maharashtra reported just 5,984 new Covid-19 cases on Monday as opposed to a robust 15,069 recoveries, as the State's total case tally reached 16,01,365 while its active cases continued to dip further to stand at 1,73,759. With 125 new deaths, the total death toll has reached 42,240. The cumulative recoveries have risen to 13,84,879 with the State’s recovery rate standing at a robust 86.48%. 10. Indian Premier League 2020 | Kings XI Punjab vs Delhi Capitals in Dubai The nail-biting win over defending champions Mumbai Indians was certainly a morale-lifter but the inconsistent Kings XI Punjab has another tough battle at hand when they take on table leaders Delhi Capitals in Dubai on Tuesday. Having lost two tight games they should have won at the start of the season, KXIP managed to get on the right side of the results in the last couple of games, although it was too close for comfort by their own admission. 11. PSG without Verratti, Paredes against Man United in Champions League Paris Saint-Germain will have to do without midfield duo Marco Verratti and Leandro Paredes for their Champions League group-stage opener at home to Manchester United on Tuesday, coach Thomas Tuchel has confirmed, but captain Marquinhos could return. Verratti suffered a leg muscle injury on international duty with Italy and could be sidelined for up to three weeks, sports daily L'Equipe reported.
