The BJP has made elaborate arrangements for the live-viewing of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s virtual address to the people of West Bengal at 12 noon on Thursday in every polling booth across the state’s 294 Assembly constituencies.
2. Telangana rains | 5-member Central team to visit the state for 2 days  Residents searching for their belongings following heavy rain in Hyderabad on October 20, 2020
A five-member central team would arrive in Hyderabad on Thursday on a two-day visit of Telangana from Thursday for an on-the-spot assessment of damages caused by the recent deluge, while Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao directed officials to ensure no breach of tanks and lakes in the city, which bore the brunt of the rain fury.
3. Withdrawal of nominations for phase 3 polls in Bihar
The last date for filing of nominations for the third and final phase was on Tuesday. The withdrawal of nominations has been slated for Thursday and Friday.
4. Stage set for 6th LAHDC-Leh polls in first democratic exercise post granting of UT status
All arrangements are in place and we are hopeful of a peaceful election on Thursday. The arrangements include necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Deputy District Election Officer (DEO) Abdul Zargar told PTI.
