1. Mann ki Baat Episode 70 Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Mann Ki Baat' programme will be on All India Radio at 11 a.m. 2. Bihar campaign | Chirag Paswan to visit Sita temple, to propose corridor between Ayodhya-Sithamarhi  The LJP leader is scheduled to visit Sita temple in Sithamarhi on Sunday and is likely to propose the construction of a grand temple at the site. 3. Rajnath Singh to perform ‘Shastra puja’ at Sherathang area in Sikkim on Sunday The Defence Minister on Saturday reviewed the combat preparedness of the Indian Army at the Sukna-based headquarters of its 33 Corps which is responsible for guarding the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China in the Sikkim sector, officials said. He is on a two-day visit to West Bengal and Sikkim to review the military preparedness in view of the border row with China in eastern Ladakh as well as to celebrate Dussehra with soldiers. 4. Sena to hold Dassehra rally in auditorium, not at Shivaji Park The Shiv Sena has decided to organise its annual Dussehra rally on Sunday at an auditorium in Mumbai and not on the Shivaji Park ground, where the event it traditionally held. 5. Lithuanians vote in runoff on Sunday The coronavirus pandemic is the main domestic issue as Lithuania holds a parliamentary runoff election Sunday, and the winner will have to tackle a rapidly deteriorating public health sector and high unemployment. 6. Chile referendum to change dictatorship-era constitution  The current charter, in force since 1980 and enacted by the former military junta of Augusto Pinochet, has been changed numerous times in the years since. But it does not establish the state’s responsibility to provide education and healthcare. 7. Asian online team chess: India men and women enter final The Indian men, led by Surya Sekhar Ganguly, faces Australia in Sunday’s final. The team led by Woman Grandmaster Mary Ann Gomes will meet Indonesia in the final on Sunday. 8. IPL 2020 | Rajasthan Royals vs Mumbai Indians Skipper Rohit Sharma’s fitness would be a concern for defending champions Mumbai Indians as they aim to continue their dominant run, while a depleted Rajasthan Royals would hope to stay afloat when the two teams clash in an IPL match in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. 9. IPL 2020 | Chennai Super Kings vs Royal Challengers Bangalore  Their house in complete disarray after eight defeats from 11 outings, Chennai Super Kings will look to give their forgettable campaign a semblance of respectability when they take on in-form Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League in Dubai on Sunday. 10. Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments The number of positive coronavirus cases reported from India now stands at 78,64,018 at the time of publishing this newsletter. The death toll from the disease stands at 1,18,586.
