1. After 196 days in space, NASA astronaut Chris Cassidy returns home. He landed safely in Kazakhstan after a six month mission on the Space Station where he and crew member Robert Behnken became two of only four U.S. astronauts to complete 10 spacewalks.

2. Australia is preparing to be a global leader in clean-energy by making use of its abundant wind and sun. The Asian Renewable Energy Hub would build wind and solar capacity of 15 gigawatts, making it the world's largest power facility behind China's Three Gorges Dam. 

3. This fast-fashion heiress is asking shoppers to buy less in an attempt to clean the fashion industry. Veronica Chou, heiress to a $2.7 billion fortune, says she'll only invest her time and money in startups that make one of the world's most wasteful industries more sustainable.

4. NASA successfully touched down on the surface of an asteroid and brought back a piece to Earth for the first time. The collected samples will help scientists understand the origin of the solar system.

5. This beetle's almost indestructible shell could lead to an engineering breakthrough. The diabolical ironclad beetle can withstand forces almost 40,000 times its bodyweight and scientists are studying its shell to teach them how to design stronger planes and buildings.

6. This company is getting rich by turning jackfruit into pork. There's been a huge increase in interest for vegetarian and vegan food in Thailand over recent years and  NR Instant Produce is cashing in on the trend.

7. Uganda's new all-female ride-hailing service, Diva Taxi, is breaking the mold in the socially conservative country. The service was set up by women who lost their jobs in the pandemic and expects to reach 2,000 active app users this year.

8. General Motors debuted its much-anticipated battery-powered Hummer pickup. The 2022 model-year truck will have a starting price of $80,000 and a range of 350 miles when fully charged.

9. A new AI camera can detect if shoppers are wearing masks or not. If a shopper approaches without a mask, the camera displays a message asking the customer to please wear a covering while in the store.

10. This company has saved nearly 2 million slices of bread from being wasted by rethinking how beer is made. Toast Ale's brewing method reduces the demand for land, water, energy and avoids emissions in an attempt to fix the food waste problem and combat climate change.
