1. President, PM to address Governors’ Conference on NEP President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the inaugural session of the Governors’ Conference on the National Education Policy on Monday through video conference.
2. Javadekar to chair webinar on International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies  Union Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar will be chairing a webinar on the first-ever International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies on Monday, the Ministry of Environment said on Sunday.
3. Metro services are set to restart in a graded manner, except in Maharashtra UV tech to sanitise tokens as Lucknow Metro restarts; CISF outlines airport-like ‘touch-free’ security check for commuters in Delhi; Face masks on payment basis at 3 stations of Noida Metro; In Bengaluru, the first run will start on the Purple Line from Monday while the trains on Green Line will operate from Wednesday.

6. Nitish Kumar to address JD(U)’s virtual rally today  Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal(United) national president Nitish Kumar will address a virtual rally of the party on Monday to connect with people ahead of the state assembly polls due in October-November, a party leader said.
7. Telangana cabinet meeting to be held today The meeting is likely to discuss the New Revenue Act and other bills to be introduced in the Legislature. The monsoon session of the State Assembly commences today.
8. Himachal Assembly session from today The 68-member Assembly session will begin at 2 p.m.
9. Online classes from Monday for Class IX-XII in M.P. The Madhya Pradesh Board will telecast audio-visual lessons on Doordarshan from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., and students and teachers will have to register through a mobile app called ‘MASHIM’ for access, an order from the board said.
10. Ajmer Dargah, several major temples to reopen in Rajasthan  The State government has allowed religious places to reopen from September 7 and has asked them to adhere to social distancing and other COVID-19 guidelines under Unlock 4.
11. Nirav Modi extradition trial to resume in U.K. court The 49-year-old jeweller is fighting extradition charges related to the estimated $2-billion Punjab National Bank (PNB) fraud and money laundering case brought by the Indian government, being represented at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in London by the U.K.’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

Julian Assange to fight U.S. extradition bid in U.K. court  Lawyers for Assange and the U.S. government are scheduled to face off in London on Monday at an extradition hearing that was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic. 13. Top shuttlers to resume training in Hyderabad, SAI clears national camp Top singles players such as Saina Nehwal and Kidambi Srikanth will finally resume training from Monday as the Sports Authority of India (SAI) gave its go-ahead to the national badminton camp at the Pullela Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad under strict COVID-19 guidelines.
