China’s State Councillor Yang Jiechi to attend BRICS NSAs meet China’s State Councillor Yang Jiechi will attend the 10th meeting of BRICS National Security Advisors on Thursday, the Foreign Ministry said. Yang is also a member of the Politburo of the ruling Communist Party of China and director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs.
3. Delhi riots | Police to file charge sheet in UAPA case by today Delhi Police informed the Delhi High Court on Wednesday that it will file the charge sheet by Thursday in a case under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act related to the communal violence in northeast Delhi in February.
4. Coronavirus | Kalyan Singh discharged from Lucknow hospital, flown to Ghaziabad Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh, who had tested positive for coronavirus, was shifted Wednesday from Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow to a private hospital in Ghaziabad. He was discharged at the request of his family, the government hospital in Lucknow said.
5. Coronavirus | Union Minister Nitin Gadkari tests positive for COVID-19 At least seven union ministers, including Union home minister Amit Shah, and two dozen lawmakers have now contracted the disease.
6. Narendra Modi turns 70 BJP president J.P. Nadda will participate in various welfare activities at Chandni Chowk as part of ‘Sewa Saptah’ (week of service) programmes undertaken by the party to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on Thursday.
7. Amit Shah to virtually attend virtually Gujarat schemes launch on PM birthday These schemes and projects will be remotely launched by Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani from Gandhinagar through video-conference. Union Home Minister Amit Shah would virtually attend the event from Delhi. He is scheduled to attend the e-bhoomi pujan ceremony of a water supply project for Gandhinagar to be held at 11 am.
8. Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments The number of positive coronavirus cases reported from India now stands at 51,16,257 at the time of publishing this newsletter. The toll from the disease stands at 83,244.
