Day-long Punjab Assembly session under COVID-19 shadow Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Thursday appealed to all other legislators who had come in contact with COVID-19 positive legislators to avoid attending the one-day Vidhan Sabha session on Friday. 8. Bombay High Court asks Maharashtra government to grant hearing to Muslim body on Muharram norms The court directed the State to grant the petitioner a fair hearing and to inform the court of its decision on Friday morning. 9. IIT-M coordinating "national efforts to create crash courses" for rural learners The first broadcast is scheduled for Friday. 10. Banks Board Bureau to interview candidates for SBI Chairman post on Friday There are seven items on the agenda for the meeting of BBB, including upcoming "vacancy" of the Chairman post at SBI, as per the sources. Max group to relist Max India on stock exchanges on Friday Max India, which got delisted in June, had recently announced plans to invest Rs. 300 crore over the next four years to develop a housing project for senior living in Noida, Uttar Pradesh, as well as in its new assisted-care services business. 12. Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments The number of positive coronavirus cases reported from India now stands at 33,84,716 at the time of publishing this newsletter.
