1. Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments The number of positive coronavirus cases reported from India now stands at 14,36,007 at the time of publishing this newsletter. The toll from the disease stands at 32,823. For the third consecutive day cases and deaths in India crossed the 45,000 and 750 marks.

Congress to protest in front of Raj Bhavans except in Rajasthan On Monday, the PCCs of all States except Rajasthan will protest in front of Raj Bhavans against the Rajasthan Governor's refusal to accept the State government's recommendations to hold an Assembly session to conduct a floor test. Rajasthan Congress called off its Monday protest in front of Raj Bhawan. 4. Modi to launch COVID-19 testing facilities in Noida, Mumbai and Kolkata on Monday The facilities are capable of testing up to 10,000 samples daily, according to a statement from the Press Information Bureau. 5. SC to continue hearing in sedition case against journalist Vinod Dua  Senior journalist Vinod Dua had urged the Supreme Court to stay the proceedings in a sedition FIR registered against him by the Himachal Pradesh police. 6. Tripura announces three-day complete lockdown from Monday Mortality rate insignificant, recoveries encouraging, says CM as cases surge. 7. Puducherry CM, Ministers, MLAs to undergo COVID-19 test The tests would be done for all 32 MLAs on Monday and Tuesday at the Assembly premises and the nearby Health Department office. 8. AAP attacks proposal to introduce new taxes in BJP-run south Delhi Municipal Corporation The Aam Aadmi Party has attacked the BJP over the proposal for four new taxes set to be introduced at a meeting of the House of the South Delhi Municipal Corporation on Monday. 9. Singapore Prime Minister Lee announces new Cabinet; swearing-in on Monday  Mr. Lee's PAP party has retained power with a "clear mandate" in the general election held on July 10 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
