2) Fourth round of Vande Bharat mission begins According to an MEA official, it will focus on bringing back Indians from the Gulf countries, Malaysia and Singapore, among others from where a large number have registered to return.
3) Chinese imports, UDAY-2 top on agenda of State Power Ministers' meet today Union Power Minister R K Singh will discuss with his state counterparts a range of issues, including Chinese imports and UDAY scheme. The meeting, which is organised almost every year to discuss key issues pertaining to the power sector, will take stock of the progress made by states on central schemes.
4) Coal India unions strike enters day 2  Employees of Central Coalfields Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, participate in three-day coal strike in Ranchi The strike is over the government's decision to allow commercial coal mining. Production and supplies have been hit even as the government urged employees to resume work.
5) 10-day lockdown in Navi Mumbai The Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), Kalyan Dombivali Municipal Corporation (KDMC) and Mira Bhayandar Municipal Corporation, all part of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), jointly decided on the complete lockdown for next 10 days in view of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in these areas.
