Indian economy would have crumbled anyway, covid or not
Optimism, if any, about the state of the economy at this point is difficult to explain. There is little ammo left with the govt after the reforms it tried to execute in the recent past didn't exactly restart the economic engine. The decline in India's fortunes actually started quite a while ago; the virus struck an economy with pre-existing conditions.
