Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments The number of coronavirus cases in India stands at 265917 with the death toll at 7471. 2. Amendment for new map to be taken up by Nepal Parliament on Tuesday Nepal's Parliament will take up the controversial amendment on the country's map that includes parts of the Indian territories. The government of Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli has decided to fast track the legislative process by shortening the period of public consultation on the amendment. A source in the Nepalese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the agenda for Tuesday's parliamentary discussion has been firmed up and it includes the Second Constitutional Amendment on the map. The Hindu had earlier reported that the amendment is "most likely" to be passed on today. 3. Delhi CM Kejriwal under home isolation; to test for coronavirus on Tuesday Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will undergo a test for novel coronavirus on Tuesday, according to sources. "He has fever and sore throat and is not meeting people since Sunday afternoon. He is under home isolation," said an AAP source. 4. West Bengal extends lockdown till June 30 - followup Lockdown in West Bengal extended till June 30, said Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. She, however announced certain relaxations for assembly of people for marriage and other social gatherings. Malls, restaurants and religious places opened from Monday both in Kolkata and other parts of the State. The State government offices will have 70 % of its workforce starting today. 5. Coronavirus | Meeting on Tuesday to ascertain community transmission in Delhi: Manish Sisodia Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday said that if it is decided in a meeting on Tuesday that there is community spread of novel coronavirus in Delhi, then the government will have to change the whole strategy to fight the virus. "There will be a meeting of SDMA (State Disaster Management Authority) tomorrow and there will be discussion with experts. If it is decided that community spread has happened, then we will have to change the full strategy to fight corona in Delhi and there will be discussion on it," Mr. Sisodia said in a video statement. 6. Deve Gowda to contest June 19 RS polls; to file nomination on Tuesday JD(S) patriarch H D Deve Gowda has decided to contest the June 19 Rajya Sabha elections from Karnataka, and will be filing his nominations on Tuesday, his son and former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy said on Monday. He said the former Prime Minister made his decision following the request of Congress president Sonia Gandhi, several national leaders and party legislators, and it was not an easy task to "persuade" him to enter the Rajya Sabha. 7. Most Kerala temples to open on Tuesday Cleaning up operations were held in several temples across Kerala, which will open for devotees on Tuesday after over two-and-half-months of coronavirus induced lockdown, but BJP and Hindu Aikya Vedi hit out at the State government dubbing as 'hasty' the decision to allow darshan. The LDF government said it decided to open the temple in line with the Centre's Unlock-1 guidelines and said those opposing the move had earlier wanted devotees to be allowed. 8. 5 more markets in Jaipur's walled city to reopen on Tuesday The Jaipur police on Monday permitted five congested markets in the walled city area of the State capital to reopen from Tuesday. All main markets in the walled city had reopened on June 1, barring the densely populated Purohitji ka Katla, Ghee Walon ka Rasta, Lalji Saand ka Rasta, Dadha Market and Dhula House. Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Ajay Pal Lamba issued orders on Monday, allowing these markets to reopen. 9. Moscow to end virus lockdown on Tuesday: mayor Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced on Monday the end of a strict anti-coronavirus lockdown that has beenin place for weeks in the Russian capital. From Tuesday, the city's "self-isolation and pass system will be cancelled," he said in a video message on Facebook, adding that "Moscow is returning to the usual rhythm of life". 10. As New Zealand eliminates coronavirus, all COVID-19 measures to be lifted from Tuesday Public and private events, the retail and hospitality industries and all public transport were allowed to resume without the distancing rules still in place across much of the world. "While the job is not done, there is no denying this is a milestone ... Thank you, New Zealand," Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern told a news conference, saying she had danced for joy at the news.
