1) Coronavirus | Latest numbers The number of positive cases reported in India stands at 73,777 with over 2388 fatalities. States asked to ramp up surveillance for Severe Acute Respiratory Infections or Influenza-like illnesses to detect hidden infections.
2) Finance Minister to give details of Rs. 20-lakh-crore economic package Starting Wednesday, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will announce details of the economic package worth Rs 20-lakh-crore or 10% of India’s GDP in 2019-20, aimed towards achieving the mission of a Aatmanirbhar or self-reliant Bharat.
3) First special trains arrive in New Delhi The Delhi government on Tuesday said it will allow passengers without symptoms arriving in special trains to the Capital, to go home after screening. The state’s health department issued a standard operating procedure for screening passengers.
4) Delhi High Court: PIL on 'Bois Locker Room'
The court will hear a plea seeking a Special Investigation Team (SIT) ora Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the incident of “Bois Locker Room”, an Instagram group in which obscene messages and morphed pictures of underage girls were shared.
5) Delhi High Court: JNU Student Sharjeel Imam plea
The court will hear a plea filed by Imam challenging a trial court order granting more time to Delhi Police to conclude investigation in a case related to inflammatory speeches against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).
6) Jaishankar to take part in SCO FMs video conference on COVID-19 External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar would take part in an extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the eight member Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) on Wednesday to discuss cooperation to fight against the deadly coronavirus.
7) U.K. lockdown eases Government’s guidance comes into effect in public life across England from Wednesday when people will be allowed one-to-one contact with people other than those they live with, as long as they remain outside and two metres apart.
8) Curfew extended till Wednesday in Telangana’s Bhainsa town Prohibitory orders have been extended in the town where members of two communities had clashed.
