2)'Amphan' might cross into Bangladesh between Tuesday-Wednesday The severe cyclonic storm 'Amphan' may cross Bangladesh coast between late Tuesday night and Wednesday evening, the country's Met Department said on Monday. The storm moved northwards and currently lies over the west central Bay and adjoining south Bay.
3) Buses to ply, shops, offices to open in Telangana from Tuesday The Telangana government on Monday extended the lockdown till May 31 but announced many relaxations from Tuesday including re-opening of shops, saloons, offices, factories, and plying of RTC buses, taxis and auto-rickshaws.
4) Gujarat govt announces major relaxations in lockdown norms The Gujarat government on Monday announced several relaxations, including opening of markets and shops in non-containment zones, from Tuesday. While there will be no relaxations in containment zones, shops and offices in non-containment zone can remain open between 8 am and 4 pm, said Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.
5) US firm announces ‘positive interim’ phase 1 results for virus vaccine US biotech firm Moderna on Monday reported “positive interim” results in the first clinical tests of its vaccine against the new coronavirus performed on a small number of volunteers. The vaccine appeared to produce an immune response in eight people who received it, of the same amplitude as that observed in people infected with the virus, the company said
6) Karnataka lockdown only on Sundays, shops to reopen from Tuesday Karnataka would observe a total lockdown only on Sundays till May 31, while shops would reopen and bus services resume from Tuesday, Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa said on Monday. "Total lockdown will be enforced only on Sundays (May 24 and May 31) across the state. Standalone shops, including salons, will reopen from Tuesday in all areas, except Covid-19 hotspots and containment zones," Yediyurappa told reporters.
7) Ola to resume services from today Cab aggregator Ola's services will resume in four Karnataka cities, including the state capital, from Tuesday based on the guidelines issued by the state government as part of the fourth phase of coronavirus lockdown, the company said.
8) Puducherry extends lockdown till May 31; liquor shops to reopen from Tuesday The Puducherry government onMonday decided to extend the lockdown till May 31 in keeping with the guidelines issued by the Centre and announced that liquor shops will reopen from Tuesday.
9) SC to pronounce verdict on Tuesday on pleas of Arnab Goswami for quashing of FIRs against him The Supreme Court is scheduled to pronounce verdict on Tuesday on plea by Republic TV Editor-in-Chief Arnab Goswami, seeking to quash multiple FIRs lodged against him in various states over his alleged defamatory statements against Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi in a news show relating to Palghar mob-lynching case.

11) Premier League clubs to return to training from Tuesday Premier League clubs will return to training on Tuesday after agreeing to allow "small group" sessions to begin. The league held a conference call for all 20 clubs on Monday where the move was given unanimous backing.
