1) Coronavirus | Union Cabinet meeting in the evening; lockdown extension guidelines today In a televised address to the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said detailed guidelines on implementation of the new lockdown will be announced today.
2) Coronavirus | Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs launches e-gate passes to expedite import clearance process The measures will be effective from Wednesday, said the CBIC in circular regarding ‘Paperless Customs — Electronic Communication of PDF based Gate Pass and OOC Copy of Bill of Entry to Custom Brokers/Importers’
3) Coronavirus | Kejriwal to visit some COVID-19 containment zones in Delhi On Tuesday, he Welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decision to extend the nationwide lockdown till May 3.
4) Coronavirus | Restrictions over COVID-19 relief: Congress too moves Madras High Court After its ally DMK, the Congress in Tamil Nadu also moved the Madras High Court challenging a state government directive restraining political parties and charitable organisations from direct distribution of COVID-19 relief materials during the lockdown period. Petition likely to be taken up on Wednesday.
5) Coronavirus | Bandra residents move Bombay HC against permission to bury COVID-19 victims The petition, filed by Pradeep Gandhy and others, is likely to be taken up on Wednesday.
6) Coronavirus | Curfew to be imposed in 2 Ahmedabad areas to curb COVID-19 Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani announced on Tuesday that a curfew will be imposed in Old City and Danilimbda areas of Ahmedabad from 6 am on Wednesday to contain COVID-19 cases. Before making the announcement, Rupani held a meeting with Congress MLAs Gyassuddin Sheikh, Imran Khedawala and Sailesh Parmar who represent assembly constituencies which cover the two localities. Mr. Khedawala has now tested positive.
7) Coronavirus | Nagaland Governor finds ‘gaps’ in State’s COVID-19 protocol The governor also thanked Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for responding to his request and quickly arrange for sending equipment for setting up a laboratory from Mumbai to Dimapur. The Air Force plane carrying the equipment is scheduled to land in Dimapur on Wednesday.
8) Coronavirus | Merkel to host talks about a possible relaxation of lockdown On Wednesday, German chancellor Angela Merkel will host talks about a possible relaxation of the nationwide restrictions put in place to limit the threat of the virus.

10) Kabul bans motorbikes to stem Taliban killings and crime The ban, which takes effect Wednesday, comes after a string of assaults by armed men on motorbikes.
