Wednesday, April 15 Last week my book, Always Day One, finally came out. In the book, I reveal that the tech giants have developed a new way of working that's led them to dominate the business world. You find the book through the indies, Amazon, or Barnes and Noble. These giants — Amazon, Facebook, Google, and Microsoft — have figured out how to dedicate their employees' time to developing ideas for new products, instead of supporting existing ones. And they've built systems to bring these new ideas to life. By doing so, the tech giants have been able to reinvent themselves repeatedly and stay ahead of competitive challenges and computing shifts. This way of working will soon spread beyond the tech giants, and I felt an urgent need to share it, so we all know what's coming. This is why I wrote the book. Now, being that we're all at home, I'm starting a Zoom book club to dig deeper into the book's lessons. The club will meet every Wednesday at 5 p.m. Pacific / 8 p.m. Eastern, and we'll discuss a new chapter each week. It will be moderated, and I encourage you to bring your questions. Feel free to check it out whether you've read the book or not. It begins tonight. You can sign up here: alwaysdayone.squarespace.com I'd love to hear from you. Please reply to this email with questions, tips, and things you'd like me to look into. BuzzFeed, Inc. 111 E. 18th St. New York, NY 10003
