Twitter walks back inactive account deletion policy over concerns about deceased users

Twitter announced a new policy yesterday that planned to remove accounts that have been inactive for six months or more with the goal “to present more accurate, credible information people can trust across Twitter.” However, concerns were quickly raised about how the new policy would impact customers who have passed away.

Japan Display earnings in doubt as $5M fraud fallout ahead of Apple rescue

Troubled Apple supplier Japan Display – which makes the LCD screens used in the base model iPhone 11 – has been losing money for the past five years. However, fallout from a $5M fraud means that the true position may be even worse than feared.

The company said that in the light of a statement by a former senior executive who embezzled more than $5M from the company, it will need to review its past earnings to determine whether or not they present a true picture of the company’s finances…

Two factors saw iPhone sales decline by 10% in Q3, says Gartner

Quarter three saw iPhone sales decline steeply, says Gartner, despite the successful launch of the iPhone 11 models.

Apple said to double AirPods Pro monthly production from 1 million to 2 million units due to strong demand

Over the weekend, Bloomberg said that its sources indicated that the Apple AirPods Pro were beating sales expectations.

Now, Nikkei is also corroborating that line of thinking quoting supply chain sources in China who say that Apple has doubled AirPods Pro orders from 1 million to ‘at least’ 2 million units per month. The standard AirPods with wireless charging case have sold well throughout their lifetime and AirPods Pro are very much set to continue that trend.
