Go ahead, debate.   Spirited political debate is as American as post-turkey naps, the Dallas Cowboys on your TV and Black Friday doorbusters. We're just over a month away from 2020, when the campaign to take on President Trump kicks into a whole other gear. And you probably won't see most of these people until after the actual election, so you might as well lay down your markers now.   Of course, you shouldn't enter any political debate – even ones with family members – without being properly informed. So please allow the CNBC Politics team to help you digest the latest political news. And we can do it all before you dig into the mashed potatoes and arguments over whether Elizabeth Warren made a mistake in embracing Medicare for All. Here's what we're watching:   Guess what? Even after all the gaffes and fundraising issues, Joe Biden is still the frontrunner for the Democratic presidential nomination. Sure, he isn't leading in polls of Iowa and New Hampshire, the first two nominating contests of 2020, but he's doing well in Nevada and South Carolina. Biden has maintained a consistent hold on the national polling average, as well. Jacob Pramuk breaks it down. Did Trump throw Rudy Giuliani under the bus? The president denied that he had sent his personal attorney to Ukraine to press for investigations into his political opponents. That appears to contradict statements by Giuliani, several former and current administration officials, and Trump himself. Christina Wilkie reports. All the kids are using TikTok these days. But the U.S. government thinks the company's recent acquisition of another social media app poses a risk to national security. The U.S. Army has used TikTok for recruitment, but it is now reviewing whether the app is indeed too risky. Bloomberg's huge donation helps his gun safety group raise record revenue in 2018 Mike Bloomberg's Everytown for Gun Safety group raised over $70 million last year during the 2018 elections. They had a massive $38 million anonymous donation that a source says came from Bloomberg himself. Trump impeachment report could be finalized as soon as next week, Schiff says Adam Schiff says the Trump impeachment probe has revealed "a fact pattern that is overwhelming, unchallenged, and damning."
