Samsung teases Galaxy Note 10 event

It's been a couple of weeks since New York City started allowing scooter sharing companies to operate, and I'm already seeing scooters everywhere. Right now, they operate in areas of Brooklyn and Queens that are hard to quickly get between on public transit, offering a relatively cheap way to make those trips.

I'm very curious about the safety of them, though. Revel's scooters come with helmets, which is great. (Citi Bikes, on the other hand, don't.) But giving inexperienced riders rapid access to a vehicle they're likely unfamiliar with seems poised for problems. A friend of mine rode one the other day and, for one reason or another, darted down a sidewalk in order to get where he was going.
