JACKI WEAVER SAYS SHE'S WORKED WITH SOME REALLY WELL-KNOWN ACTORS WHO WERE "ABSOLUTE SHITHEADS" She wouldn't name any names, though 😒

A WORD FROM OUR HOSTS... ZACH: The television show "Noah's Arc" was and remains to be one of my favorite pieces of television of all time. It was the first show I saw a group of gay men who talked like me, looked like me, and even loved like me. So, to be able to sit down with Wilson Cruz who starred in the series (among so many other roles) was a surreal moment to have during this World Pride month. Our interview was so intimate, so touching, and so much what I didn't realize I needed to close out what has been a very long celebration month. And I honestly couldn't think of a better way for us as a show to wrap up this glittery-ass month. I hope you enjoyed it, too. x ALEX: As we approached the 50th anniversary of Stonewall, I've been thinking so much about Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, and the amazing LGBTQ people who've fought for us and are still fighting. It's hard to put into words how much it means to get to talk about it on the show — to honor protest, celebrate our achievements, and put a spotlight on stories that show how much more work we have to do. This week, I loved sitting down with Laverne Cox and then Stephanie Beatriz. Laverne has done so much with her visibility and message, and I love talking to fellow bi individuals like Stephanie who are challenging how our stories are told on screen. The entire AM2DM team poured our hearts into our Pride show, and it really showed. Have a safe, transformative, and wonderful World Pride weekend, friends! ...AND OUR EXECUTIVE PRODUCER, DAVID HATCHER I'm a pretty shy guy and usually like to stay behind the scenes. But this week I wanted to say something about our World Pride edition of Gay-M to DM. In the control room I was watching Zach's interview with Wilson Cruz where he talked about his character in "The Bravest Knight" who is married to a man and has a black adopted child and I was struck. You see I am married to a man and have adopted a black child. When the interview was over, I took my headset off, got up, and went into the studio and introduced myself to Wilson and said, "I have to thank you...because I am married to a man and have a black adopted son and now he can watch his family on TV...so thank you." Wilson gave me a big hug and wished me Happy Pride. I am so proud to be a part of a show that represents all of us! Happy Pride.
