Apple's WWDC 2019 announcements

Apple just wrapped up a nearly 2.5 hour keynote where it introduced tons of new software features, a few pieces of extremely high-end new hardware, and some coding tools that elicited some major cheers from the presentation's audience of developers.

Let's dive into it.

HARDWARE

+ The all-new Mac Pro has finally been unveiled

+ Apple made an "extreme dynamic resolution" monitor, too

---> It costs $1,000 just for the stand

IPHONES + IPAD

+ iOS 13 has dark mode, a swipable keyboard, and maybe Apple Maps is good now

+ iOS on the iPad is now called iPadOS

+ iPadOS adds home screen widgets, multiple app windows, and a bunch more gestures

---> It supports USB drives, finally

+ Siri's getting an improved voice

MACS

+ ITUNES IS DEAD

---> AHHHHA IT'S OVER

+ macOS 15 is named Catalina

---> The "iPad apps on Mac" project that everyone's been calling "Marzipan" for the past year got the official name "Project Catalyst."

---> Catalyst apps look much better than they did last year

+ Find My app can locate lost Macs even when they're offline

EVERYTHING ELSE

+ Apple made a sign-in tool to compete with Google and Facebook

+ HomePods can recognize multiple users

+ Apple Watch gets a period tracking app

+ watchOS 6 has a bunch of new watchfaces and the App Store

+ tvOS will soon support multiple users

+ Xbox One and PS4 controllers on the Apple TV. It's a thing now

+ I just have to reiterate, Apple announced a $1,000 monitor stand today
