Locals tell us where NOT to go 🙅🏻♀️
Another week, another virtual vacation — let's go! ✨
While studying abroad in Paris (I know, bear with me), I naturally visited all of the city's biggest tourist traps, including climbing the Eiffel Tower for the sweeping view. Despite a fear of heights, I reached the top and marveled. It was beautiful, but was it worth the long line?
A few weeks later, I visited L'arc de Triomphe and had an epiphany. Was it as tall as the Eiffel Tower? As iconic? No, but it did have a better view and a shorter line. Because what Parisian skyline is complete without the Eiffel Tower in it? That's when I realized that traveling requires a local's (or at least a longterm visitor's) POV. So get ready to edit your bucket list as locals reveal which tourist spots to skip — and where to go instead. You're welcome!
