Biden to tour Ida devastation: The president is slated to tour spots in New Jersey and New York City where the remnants of Ida destroyed homes and businesses, leaving more than two dozen dead in its wake. Over the holiday weekend, Biden made New Jersey and New York eligible for disaster funds. Tribute to a king: The CNBC Politics team would like to take a moment to honor Michael K. Williams, the veteran character actor and community activist who was found dead Monday in his Brooklyn home. He racked up over 100 acting credits since the mid-1990s, including in films like "Gone Baby Gone" and "Inherent Vice," as well as shows such as "Boardwalk Empire" and "Hap and Leonard." But Williams' work as swaggering, scarred, shotgun-packing stickup man Omar in HBO's esteemed crime series "The Wire" made him a legend. May he rest in peace.
