1. Pushkar Singh Dhami to be sworn in as new Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami, a two-term MLA from Khatima, is the new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. He was elected by the State legislature party as its leader on Saturday, following the resignation of Tirath Singh Rawat late on Friday.  2. Mathura: Congress camp to train block presidents The Congress will hold a two-day training camp for its block presidents of Kanpur and Agra divisons from Sunday to prepare them for the next year's Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. 3. NC to take take call on Sunday on participation in Delimitation Commission's proceedings The National Conference is most likely to take a call on the party's participation in the proceedings of the Delimitation Commission on Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, a party leader said. He said the decision on participating in the commission's proceedings will be announced by NC president Farooq Abdullah. 4. Karnataka further eases COVID-19 curbs with effect from July 5 The Karnataka government further relaxed the COVID-19-related restrictions allowing certain activities, including re-opening of religious places and doing away with the weekend curfew. The night curfew would be from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. which was previously from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. 5. Mithali Raj surpasses Edwards to become highest run-getter in women's cricket India captain Mithali Raj became the highest run-getter in women's cricket across formats, overtaking former England skipper Charlotte Edwards on Saturday. Mithali achieved the feat during the third and final inconsequential ODI against hosts England while chasing 220 for a consolation win. 8. Coronavirus in India | Numbers and developments The cumulative number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country has exceeded 35 crore, the Union Health Ministry said. The number of positive coronavirus cases in India recorded in the last 24 hours stands at 43,625, taking the tally in the country to 3,05,44,796 at the time of publishing this newsletter.
