The court posted the matter for further hearing on Thursday in the judges' chamber.

4. No vaccination at civic, govt-run centres in Mumbai on July 1 due to shortage of doses

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the civic body said the vaccination drive will resume once it receives a fresh stock of vaccines.

 

5. 10-day unlock to begin in Nagaland from July 1

8. A 10-day unlock will begin in Nagaland from Thursday after a month-and-half-long lockdown imposed in view of a surge in coronavirus cases, a notification said.

They were closed in May for the summer vacations till June 30.

7. Odisha extends partial lockdown till July 16

The existing restrictions will end at 5 am on Thursday.

8. Bengaluru Metro Rail service from 7 am to 6 pm from Thursday

However, depending on the patronage, the trains would be operated with increased or decreased frequency.

9. Lt Gen Sanjeev Kumar Sharma to be new deputy chief strategic planning in Army

Lt Gen Sharma, serving as the Director-General of Military Intelligence, will take up the new assignment on Thursday, officials said.

11. William, Harry to unveil Diana statue as royal rift simmers

Royal watchers will be looking closely for any signs of a truce — or deepening rift — on Thursday when William and Harry unveil a statue of their mother, Princess Diana, on what would have been her 60th birthday.

12. Charges expected Thursday for Trump's company, top executive

The charges against the Trump Organization and the company's chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, appear to involve non-monetary benefits the company gave to top executives, possibly including use of apartments, cars and school tuition.

13. Coronavirus in India | Numbers and developments  

 Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 30, cautioned Ministers that the threat of  the COVID-19 pandemic still loomed large, urging them to ensure vaccinations in their areas on a war footing and "put in all efforts to prevent a third wave." The number of positive coronavirus cases in India recorded in the last 24 hours stands at 48,415, taking the tally in the country to at the time of 3,04,10,577 publishing this newsletter. The death toll from the disease stands at 3,99,475.
