1. One year of NEP

Prime Minister Modi will address policy makers in the domain of education and skill development, besides students and teachers from across the country, via video conferencing to mark the completion of one year of reforms under the NEP.

 

2. Met warns of rising water levels of rivers in South Bengal

Extremely heavy rainfall is also likely to occur in North 24 Parganas and South 24 Parganas districts till Thursday and heavy rain is expected on Friday, the weatherman said.

3. Maken meets MLAs individually in Jaipur for feedback

On the first day on Wednesday, MLAs from Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Sikar, Alwar, Baran, Dausa, Karauli, Sawaimadhopur, Bharatpur, Bundi, Kota and Dholpur met Congress leader Ajay Maken, party sources said. The MLAs of the remaining district will meet him Thursday.

4. Two-day Monsoon Session of Delhi Assembly begins

The ruling AAP is likely to raise the issue of farmers' protest during the session while the opposition BJP is set to corner the government over water supply and condition of DTC buses in the city.

5. J.P. Nadda addresses meeting of BJP MPs ahead of U.P. polls

BJP MPs from Awadh, Kashi and Gorakhpur are scheduled to be part of a meeting with party president J.P. Nadda on Thursday.  Uttar Pradesh is going to the assembly polls early next year.

6. Cloudbursts in J&K and Ladakh: follow up

 

The NDRF team from Ludhiana in Punjab is reaching Kishtwar and is likely to join the operation today. A series of cloudbursts struck different parts in the twin Union territories on Wednesday, killing eight people and leaving at least 17 missing.

7. Punjab govt employees, pensioners to hold protest in Patiala

They will hold a protest in Patiala in protest against the recommendations of the Sixth Pay Commission and take out a march to the Chief Minister's residence.
