Telangana decides to lift lockdown from Sunday The State government has decided to lift the shutdown it had first imposed from May 12 during the second wave of the COVID-19 spread and extended it subsequently. 4. Water supply in Delhi to be affected due to high algae, ammonia levels in Yamuna Water supply will remain affected in parts of the national capital on Sunday as production at Wazirabad, Chandrawal and Okhla plants have been curtailed due to high algae level and increase in ammonia content in the Yamuna river, the Delhi Jal Board said. 5. Tropical Storm Claudette brings rain, floods to Gulf Coast Forecasters predicted Claudette would become a tropical depression by early Sunday as its remnants crossed Alabama toward Georgia and the Carolinas. The storm was forecast to cross into the Atlantic Ocean off North Carolina on Monday, and regain tropical storm strength over open water Tuesday. 6. ICC Test Championship Final | Day 3 The gritty India batting was matched by New Zealand's bowling in the first skirmishes of the inaugural world test championship final. India grinded out 146-3 in 64.4 overs before the second day's enthralling play was cut short by bad light after tea. The game will continue at 3:00 p.m. IST today. 7. Coronavirus in India | Numbers and developments About 23.8% of adults in India, 43.8% of those aged above 45, and 47.2% of people aged above 60, have been administered at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, until 8.45 p.m. on June 19. The number of positive coronavirus cases in India recorded in the last 24 hours stands at 58,259, taking the tally in the country to 2,98,81,023 at the time of publishing this newsletter.
