1. Farmers to observe 'Save Agriculture, Save Democracy Day' today

The Samyukt Kisan Morcha, a coalition of hundreds of farmer unions, will observe June 26 as "Save Agriculture and Save Democracy Day" to mark the 46th year of Emergency and seven months of their ongoing agitation against the Centre's farm reform laws.

2. Modi to discuss Ayodhya development projects with Adityanath, officials today

Following allegations of irregularities in land purchase for the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will discuss development projects in the temple town in a virtual meeting with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other top officials on June 26. Officials from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) will also attend the meeting.

3. Panels for results of Class 10, 12 Assam board exams submit reports

Education Minister Ranoj Pegu is likely to submit both the reports to Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday.

4. Special Cowin sessions in Delhi for homeless people without identity cards

The drive will be expanded to Dandi Park in North Delhi on Saturday.

5. ISSF Shooting World Cup | Medals for 10m air rifle, air pistol mixed team events to be decided today

The event is Indian shooting team's final competitive outing before the Tokyo Olympics.

6. World Cup Stage 3 archery | Abhishek Verma the lone archer in medal fray

 

Verma had earlier reached the individual semis where he will face Anton Bulaev of Russia on Saturday.

7. Coronavirus in India | Numbers and developments

India has so far reported almost 50 cases of the Delta Plus variant of SARS-CoV-2, with Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu leading with the maximum number of cases, the Union Health Ministry said.

The number of positive coronavirus cases in India recorded in the last 24 hours stands at 49,271, taking the tally in the country to 3,01,82,469 at the time of publishing this newsletter. The death toll from the disease stands at 3,94,497.
