1. Sunday lockdown in 12 cities in Madhya Pradesh

Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Rajesh Rajora said lockdown will be in force from 10 p.m. on Saturday to 6 a.m. on Monday in 12 cities across 11 districts till further orders.

2. PM Modi to address nation through Mann Ki Baat programme

Narendra Modi's monthly radio programme, Mann Ki Baat, third this year, is scheduled for 11 a.m. today.

3. BKU to burn farm Bill copies on Holi

The Bharatiya Kisan Union said on Saturday that farmers would burn copies of the Bills at the Ghazipur protest site on Holi. BKU national spokesperson Rakesh Tikait will lead the farmers on Sunday by burning the copies of the Bills.

4. Many States declare ban on Holi celebrations as COVID-19 cases surge

At a meeting chaired by Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan with key officials from 12 States and Municipal Commissioners and District Collectors of 46 districts that are the most affected by rising cases and mortality, it was advised that upcoming celebrations of Holi, Shab-e-baraat and Easter ought to be muted and inside the confines of the house.

5. Night curfew in Maharashtra from today

In view of the spiralling number of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Friday instructed authorities to impose a night curfew across the entire State beginning Sunday night.

6. Andhra Pradesh's Kurnool gets air connectivity, flights to ply from today

The first flight from the Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy Airport at Orvakal in Kurnool district will leave for Visakhapatnam at 10.30 a.m. on Sunday, providing direct connectivity between the State's proposed Judicial Capital and Executive Capital.

7. Condemnation after Myanmar's deadliest day since coup

The military chiefs of a dozen countries including the United States, Britain, Japan and South Korea joined together Saturday to condemn Myanmar's use of lethal force against unarmed civilians.

11. Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments

The number of positive coronavirus cases reported from India now stands at 1,19,63,844 at the time of publishing this newsletter. The death toll from the disease stands at 1,62,922.
