Sasikala returns to Chennai on Monday after serving jail term  On Sunday, properties owned by V.N. Sudhakaran and J. Ilavarasi, close relatives of Sasikala and co-convicts in an assets case, in Chennai have been confiscated in compliance with a 2017 Supreme Court order, the Tamil Nadu government said. 5. T.N. CM will decide on resuming classes from I-VIII: Minister Classes for IX and XI standard students in Tamil Nadu would resume from Monday. 6. Meghalaya govt. to reduce tax on petrol, diesel by Rs. 2 per litre: CM The Meghalaya government has decided to reduce the tax on petrol and diesel in the State by Rs. 2 per litre from Monday midnight, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma said. 7. Search for 3 climbers on K2 in Pakistan to continue  Pakistan Army helicopters on Sunday suspended the search and rescue operations after failing to trace three climbers, including renowned Pakistani mountaineer Muhammad Ali Sadpara, who went missing two days ago on K2, the world's second highest mountain. The search will resume early Monday, Pakistani officials said. 8. Trump impeachment trial to begin today Donald Trump’s defenders in the Senate on Sunday rallied around the former President before his impeachment trial, dismissing it as a waste of time and arguing that the former president’s fiery speech before the U.S. Capitol insurrection does not make him responsible for the violence of January 6. 9. Chepauk to finally open its three stands to spectators, ticket sales for second Test from Monday The MA Chidamabaram Stadium's three stands — I, J and K — will be thrown open to spectators for an international match for the first time since 2012 when it hosts the second India-England Test from February 13. 10. I-League | Mohammedan Sporting face Gokulam Kerala challenge in mid-table clash; Litmus test for Real Kashmir in top of the table clash against Churchill Brothers Unbeaten but still languishing at sixth spot in the points table, Mohammedan Sporting will seek their second win of the season when they take on Gokulam Kerala FC in the I-League in Kalyani on Monday. Real Kashmir FC will look to build on their emphatic victory in the previous game and displace Churchill Brothers from the top when the two sides lock horns in an I-League clash in Kolkata on Monday. 14. Rizwan Ali confident of Pakistan win against South Africa on final day Mohammad Rizwan, who scored his maiden Test hundred against South Africa, is confident that Pakistan will bowl out the visitors and win the second match for a 2-0 series sweep in Rawalpindi on Monday. 15.
