This week, we've seen a wave of tech companies making major strides helping the health care industry move forward, with transformational ideas and innovations at its core. A digital Covid vaccination passport is coming, a coalition between Microsoft, Salesforce and Oracle, as well as Mayo Clinic, a significant step toward an immunized society. Honeywell is partnering with a consortium of local businesses to help accelerate states' vaccine rollout. CEO Darius Adamczyk spoke to Jim Cramer last night about the need to get vaccines to people as quickly as possible.
In other news, two organizations we've been quite bullish on who are facing some tough truths: Dropbox is cutting 11% of its workforce, a move to "create a healthy and thriving business for the future," CEO Drew Houston said in a company memo. It's easy to bet big on Spotify, and they bet exceptionally big on podcasts. Citi analysts say the multi-million dollar bet may not be going according to plan.
