Hyderabad civic polls to begin The stage is set for polling on Tuesday in the Hyderabad civic polls which witnessed a high decibel campaign resembling an Assembly or parliamentary election with top leaders from different parties participating in the electioneering. 2. Dilli Chalo protest | Farmer leaders to meet in the morning The Centre on Monday night invited agitating farmer unions for talks on December 1, two days ahead of a scheduled meeting, as their stir against the new agri-marketing laws appeared to intensify despite a strong defence of the legislation by the government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi who accused the opposition of playing tricks on farmers again through misinformation. 3. 58th statehood day celebrations for Nagaland Nagaland is all set to celebrate its 58th statehood day on Tuesday and mark the beginning of its popular Hornbill Festival with strict adherence to the COVID-19 safety norms, officials said. The inauguration of the 10-day festival will be held virtually for the first time.  4. Odisha medical colleges to reopen The Odisha government has allowed re-opening of medical colleges across the state from Tuesday, even as it authorised the School & Mass Education and Higher Education departments to decide on resumption of classroom teachings. COVID-19 safety protocols will have to be followed in the medical institutes. 5. 'Orunodoi' scheme to be launched in 29 districts The Assam government's 'Orunodoi' scheme, seeking to benefit women-headed households and specially-abled persons, will be formally launched in 29 districts on Tuesday, Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said. 6. ISL | East Bengal vs Mumbai City FC SC East Bengal will look to beef up their attack and secure a maiden win in the Indian Super League when they face Mumbai City FC on Tuesday. 7. Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments The number of positive coronavirus cases reported from India now stands at 94,60,968 at the time of publishing this newsletter.
