Dilli Chalo protest Thousands of angry farmers protesting new agricultural laws were allowed to enter the capital late Friday after they clashed with police who had blocked them at the outskirts of New Delhi. The farmers will be escorted to a protest site in New Delhi, police said in a statement. It was not immediately clear where the protests would be held. 2. PM to review vaccine work in Ahmedabad, Pune and Hyderabad Narendra Modi will visit Ahmedabad, Hyderabad and Pune on Saturday to review coronavirus vaccine development work at facilities there, the Prime Minister’s Office said. Mr. Modi is expected to visit Zydus Cadilla facility at 9:30 a.m., Bharat Biotech at 1:30 p.m. and the Serum Institute of India at 4:30 p.m. 3. Uddhav Thackeray government completes one year on Saturday In an interview marking the first anniversary of the tripartite Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government in Maharashtra, Mr. Thackeray said, “Our response is going to be cultured. And let me be very clear. History has shown us that whenever there is a conflict between these two sides (perversity and civility), the cultured side has always won.” 4. J&K DDC phase 1 polls on Saturday, 7 lakh eligible to vote State Election Commissioner K.K. Sharma said 2,146 polling stations have been set up for the smooth conduct of elections of phase 1. 5. Sri Lanka-India-Maldives trilateral maritime security meeting in Colombo National Security Advisor Ajit Doval arrived in Colombo on Friday and called on Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa on Friday. Sri Lanka will host the fourth national security advisor trilateral meeting on maritime security cooperation with India and the Maldives on Friday and Saturday. The meeting will take place after six years — the last meeting was held in New Delhi in 2014. 6. Hyderabad civic polls | Yogi Adityanath to campaign on Saturday BJP president J.P. Nadda on Friday hit the campaign trail for the December 1 city civic polls, with a roadshow, saying “it is time for KCR and the TRS regime to go”. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is scheduled to campaign on Saturday while Union Home Minister Amit Shah may also undertake campaigning, BJP sources said. 7. New cardinals quarantine in pope’s hotel ahead of consistory Pope Francis on Saturday will elevate 13 clerics to the College of Cardinals, the elite group of red-robed churchmen whose primary task is to elect a new pope. 8. Blatter, Platini probe shifts to fraud accusation Former FIFA president Sepp Blatter and ex-UEFA chief Michel Platini are now being investigated for “fraud” and “breach of trust” in Switzerland, a source with access to the probe said. The former power brokers of world football were originally part of a legal procedure opened in 2015 over a 2011 payment to Platini of two million Swiss francs ($2.2 million). The Swiss prosecutors have decided to change the focus of their investigation. 9. Mike Tyson plans fast start in ring return at 54 against Roy Jones Jr. Mike Tyson says he never imagined as a heavyweight boxing champion that he would climb into the ring with Roy Jones Jr. at age 54 as he does on Saturday. Fifteen years after retiring with a 2005 loss to journeyman Kevin McBride, Tyson makes a comeback after dropping 100 pounds and returning to training. 10.
