1. Very severe cyclone Nivar | T.N., Puducherry, Andhra on high alert Nivar is expected to intensify into a ‘very severe cyclonic storm’ and cross Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coasts between Karaikal and Mamallapuram late in the evening of November 25, the IMD said.
2. Farmer stir | Haryana to maintain strict vigil at border with Punjab The travel advisory is issued for the benefit of commuters as they may face traffic blockages on roads leading to Haryana from Punjab on November 25 and 26 and on entry points from Haryana to Delhi on November 26 and 27.
3. Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel passes away Senior Congress leader and party treasurer Ahmed Patel (71) passed away on Wednesday morning at a Delhi hospital due to multiple organ failure more than a month after he was tested positive for COVID-19.

7. TRP scam | Republic TV COO anticipatory bail application likely to be heard on Wednesday A Mumbai Crime Branch team is in Bengaluru to apprehend Priyanka Mukherjee, who has filed an anticipatory bail application before the Karnataka High Court.
8. Centre within its rights to suspend MPLADS, says Bombay High Court The Bombay High Court said the Union government was within its powers to suspend the MPLAD scheme and divert such funds to combat COVID-19. A Bench was presiding over a public interest litigation filed through lawyer Shekhar Jagtap opposing the suspension of the scheme. The High Court directed Mr. Jagtap to submit his written submissions in the matter by Wednesday.

Vigilance court declines plea seeking custody of former Kerala Minister Ebrahim Kunju The court has directed the District Medical Officer, Ernakulam, to file a report on government hospitals having facilities to treat Mr. Kunju, who had undergone chemotherapy for cancer several times at the private hospital. The DMO has been directed to file the report on Wednesday.
