1. Indian Navy to host bilateral exercise SIMBEX-20 in Andaman sea The Indian Navy will host the 27th edition of the India-Singapore bilateral maritime exercise SIMBEX-20 from Monday in the Andaman sea, said an official statement on Sunday. 2. First phase of Rajasthan panchayat polls on Monday According to State Election Commissioner P.S. Mehra, around 72.38 lakh people will be eligible to vote in the panchayat samiti and zila parishad polls on Monday, for which nearly 25,000 EVMs will be used at 10,131 polling stations. 3. J&K District Development Council polls | Last day for filing nominations for fifth phase The People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration on Sunday announced the seat-sharing formula for the fifth phase of the polls for which the voting will take place on December 10. 4. 57-hour curfew ends in Ahmedabad on Monday morning With a 57-hour curfew imposed in Ahmedabad due to a spike in COVID-19 cases coming to an end on Monday morning, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in a Facebook address on Sunday said there will only be night curfew in four cities, including Ahmedabad, from here on. 5. Court to hear Bharti Singh, husband bail pleas The couple were remanded in judicial custody till December 4. 6. Decision on reopening of schools in Karnataka A meeting to this effect is likely to take place today between Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa, Primary and Secondary Education Minister S. Suresh Kumar, and officials of the education, health and social welfare departments. 7. World Investors Week celebration begins in India Every year, the World Investors Week (WIW) is celebrated the world over, under the aegis of IOSCO, the global body of securities regulators, in order to give further impetus to various investor education and awareness initiatives. 8. Indian Super League: Odisha vs. Hyderabad A fresh start will be the mantra for both Odisha FC and Hyderabad FC when the two sides clash in the Hero Indian Super League, in Bambolim on Monday. 9. Rohit, Ishant need to leave for Australia in 3-4 days if they are to play Tests: Shastri Considering the mandatory 14-day quarantine requirement, it is clear that they would miss the first warm-up game against Australia A, at Drummoyne Oval from December 6-8, if they don’t depart by Monday.
