Rajasthan panchayat polls: Filing of nomination papers to start The election process for zila parishad and panchayat samiti members in 21 districts of Rajasthan will start on Wednesday, an official said. Filing of nomination papers will start on Wednesday and continue till 3 p.m. on November 9. 5. Delhi Prisons to facilitate Karva Chauth celebrations for women inmates The Delhi Prisons will facilitate Karva Chauth celebrations for its women inmates while strictly adhering to the coronavirus protocol, officials said on Tuesday. 6. West Bengal to observe Nov. 4 as anti-stubble burning day The Environment department took the decision in the wake of doctors apprehending that the COVID-19 pandemic may deteriorate with a possible surge in air pollution during the ensuing Diwali and upcoming winter season. 7. Delhi’s minimum temperature drops to 10 degrees Celsius; IMD may declare cold wave As the minimum temperature in Delhi dropped to 10 degrees Celsius, the season’s lowest so far, on Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department said it will declare a cold wave in the city if the situation persists today. 8. The third edition of the Women’s T20 Challenge to get underway The four-match tournament will have three teams -- defending champions Supernovas, last year’s runners-up Velocity and Trailblazers -- competing against each other once before the summit clash on November 9. 9.
