Mahatma Gandhi's 151th birth anniversary Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tributes to teh Mahatma on Gandhi Jayanti and said there was much to learn from his life and thoughts. Six years of Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban The Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry said that it was celebrating the sixth anniversary of Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban by organising a webinar titled 'Swachhata Ke 6 Saal, Bemisaal' on Friday. The day will focus on celebrating the achievements of the past six years under the Mission along with experience sharing by States, cities and partner organisations, a statement said. 3. 4,327 urban local bodies declared open defecation-free under Swachh Bharat: HUA  Students giving finishing touches to an art work as part of the Swachh Bharat Mission. File Over 4,300 urban local bodies have so far been declared open defecation-free in the country under the Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban, the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry said on Thursday. The Ministry said it has been made possible through construction of more than 66 lakh individual household toilets and over 6 lakh community and public toilets, far exceeding the Mission's targets. 4. 3rd phase of Back to Village programme to begin in JK on Friday The third phase of Jammu and Kashmir government's flagship 'Back to Village' programme is set to begin Friday, officials said. The programme will witness senior government officials reviewing the development at the grassroots level and addressing public grievances. 5. Modi to inaugurate summit of overseas, resident Indian researchers, academicians  Prime Minister Narendra Modi will on Friday inaugurate the 'VAIBHAV Summit' — a platform which brings together overseas and resident Indian researchers and academicians. 6. AYUSH Minister to inaugurate naturopathy hospital for tribals in Pune on Friday Minister of State (independent charge) Shripad Yesso Naik will inaugurate a naturopathy hospital at tribal hamlet Gohe Budruk in Maharashtra's Pune on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti via video conferencing. 7. Low pressure formed over Bay of Bengal likely to trigger heavy rainfall in Odisha Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to lash some places in Ganjam, Bolangir, Sonepur, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj districts till Friday. 8. Daily monitoring of COVID-19 patients in home isolation in Punjab from Friday Asymptomatic and mildly symptomatic COVID-19 patients in home isolation will be monitored in Punjab from Friday with the State government engaging a consortium of professional home healthcare companies for their regular monitoring, a senior official said. 9. Trump in 'quarantine process' after top aide tests positive for COVID-19 President Donald Trump says he and first lady Melania Trump are beginning a "quarantine process" as they await coronavirus test results after Hope Hicks, one his closest aides he spent substantial time with this week, tested positive for COVID-19. 11. Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments The number of positive coronavirus cases reported from India now stands at 63,91,940 at the time of publishing this newsletter. The death toll from the disease stands at 99,815.
