Monsoon withdrawal likely to begin next week: IMD The IMD has issued orange warning for Kerala, Goa and parts of Karnataka and Maharashtra on Saturday. Orange warning has also been issued for Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Maharashtra and Goa on Sunday. 3. Drug case | Bengaluru Police summons actors Akul Balaji, Santhosh Kumar and ex-MLA’s son A Central Crime Branch official said that notices have been issued to them to appear at CCB on Saturday at 10 a.m. 4. Decommissioned warship ‘Viraat’ to start last journey on Saturday Decommissioned aircraft carrier of the Indian Navy, ‘Viraat’, will begin its last journey on Saturday from Naval Dockyard here for Alang in Gujarats Bhavnagar district where it will be dismantled. 
5. Bars in Andhra Pradesh to be re-opened from Saturday The State government, however, decided to levy a 20% ‘COVID-19 fee’ on the basic licence of bars and also a 10% additional retail excise tax on liquor. 6. AirAsia begins flights on Mumbai-Guwahati, Mumbai-Srinagar routes AirAsia India has announced it will start flights on the Mumbai-Guwahati and the Mumbai-Srinagar routes from Saturday. 7. China flies warplanes near Taiwan during U.S. envoy’s visit China has ratcheted up tensions on its eastern front, with 18 Chinese fighters and bombers crossing the mid-line of the Taiwan Strait and flying towards Taiwan in a major show of military force. The combat drills on Friday were aimed to coincide with the visit to Taiwan of U.S. Undersecretary for Economic Affairs Keith Krach, the most senior official to visit the island in four decades. 8. IPL 2020 starts on Saturday in Abu Dhabi Defending champions Mumbai Indians take on Chennai Super Kings. 9. Coronavirus | Latest numbers and developments The number of positive coronavirus cases reported from India now stands at 53,05,930 at the time of publishing this newsletter. The death toll from the disease stands at 85,657.
